The City Council probably will decide tonight whether to require Internet filters for the children’s room computers in the library or stick with the existing policy requiring parental permission to use the Internet combined with supervision by library workers.
The council will also consider a proposal to place a measure on the March ballot to extend the length of waste management contracts granted by the city.
The city can grant contracts for up to five years, with a two-year extension. The measure, if approved, would allow the city to enter into contracts lasting up to 10 years.
The City Council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 25909 Pala.
