Exporting Tobacco

* While worldwide 50 million people have been infected by AIDS (Nov. 24), we need to remind ourselves that 500 million alive today will die of tobacco-related illnesses, while an immoral Congress accepts soft money from American tobacco companies in exchange for not labeling nicotine a drug and being allowed to export cigarettes as weapons of mass destruction. Only 5% of the world’s smokers are in the U.S.
