Kempton Three-Pointer Helps SCC to Victory

Alana Kempton made a three-pointer with 51 seconds left in the game to lead Southern California College to a 66-64 victory over visiting Azusa Pacific in Golden State Athletic Conference women’s basketball Saturday.
SCC, which led by four at the half, 38-34, and extended the lead to 12 points, but Azusa Pacific rallied to within two points, 63-61, at the 3:10 mark.
Sara Herkenhoff scored 21 points to lead the Vanguards (18-7, 6-2). Kempton finished with 15.
In another Golden State Athletic Conference game:
Biola 80, Concordia 66--Heather Doud scored 16 points and Tammy Sturm scored 14 for Biola (15-10, 5-3).
Priscilla Bendik had 17 points and eight rebounds for Concordia (12-9, 5-3).
