Gov. Bush Sides With Clintons Over Article

Texas Gov. George W. Bush joined President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton in voicing disappointment about a People magazine cover story on Chelsea Clinton, saying concerns about his own teenage daughters remain a factor as he considers running for president. “If the president and Mrs. Clinton are disappointed that their daughter’s on the cover of the magazine, I’m disappointed for them,” Bush said. Last week, the Clintons said they were “profoundly saddened” by People’s coverage. “My daughters matter a lot to me. I love them more than life,” the Republican governor said.
