Two Orange County families each pledged $1-million donations to support local programs and services funded by United Way. The donations mark the largest ever received by Orange County’s United Way as part of its annual fund-raising campaign. The donations will help expand the availability of health and human services for the next several years, said Maria Chavez Wilcox, president of Orange County’s United Way. The donor families, who have requested anonymity, are successful local entrepreneurs, she said.
