Woman Critical After Accidental Shooting

ARCADIA — A 19-year-old woman was in critical condition Friday after she was shot in the head by a friend in an apparent accidental discharge of a handgun.
Ertai Fu, 19, of San Gabriel was booked for attempted involuntary manslaughter for shooting the woman, Arcadia Police Lt. Ed Winter. Fu was released on $25,000 bond Friday evening, police said.
The woman, who police did not identify, is at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena.
The shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Thursday at a home in the 600 block of East Longden Avenue, where two men and two women were studying for college final exams, police said.
Arcadia police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
