A Day of Volunteer Service

More than 150 volunteers from the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science will lend helping hands to various community agencies during the third annual Day of Sacred Service on June 26.
Volunteers work in the yards of three area shelters, gardening, cleaning and restoring playground equipment.
Some members handcraft inspirational gifts that they pass out to senior, pediatric patients and prisoners. Another group of volunteers participates in a cleanup at the Bolsa Chica wetlands.
At the end of the day, the volunteers will gather in the church’s chapel to discuss their experiences. The church is at 7641 Talbert Ave. Information: (714) 596-0900.
