In her review of Jennifer Lopez’s first album, Elysa Gardner states that Lopez is the “Bronx-bred daughter of Puerto Rican immigrants” (“She’s Got the Moves and Grooves,” May 30).
Native Puerto Ricans who move to one of the 50 states are not “immigrants,” but U.S. citizens who have chosen to move to another part of their country.
