The Police Department on Thursday will host a Community Earthquake Preparedness meeting that will emphasize the need for residents to keep an eye on their neighborhoods. The meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center, 20 Lake. Police Department emergency management officers will provide training on developing a disaster survival plan and demonstrate how to organize teams for light search and rescue, damage assessment and first aid.
