La Reina Gains Share of First

MacKenzie Vandergeest singled with two out in the seventh inning to drive home Stephanie Hyatt and cap a two-run rally that lifted La Reina High over Oak Park, 2-1, in a Tri-Valley League game Tuesday at La Reina.
La Reina (16-7, 6-1 in league play) moved into a first-place tie with Oak Park (16-4-1, 6-1).
Hyatt singled to drive in Kerry Adams. Kristen Ward had three hits and Monica Thompson had two hits for La Reina.
Jannel Buckley had a run-scoring single in the fifth for Oak Park.
Westlake 1, Agoura 0--Shannon Grover’s one-out single to left scored Annie Dominic in the top of the 12th inning of a Marmonte League game at Agoura.
Dominic doubled to open the inning and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Codie Richards.
Erin Voeltz struck out 14 and walked one for Westlake (18-4, 7-2), ranked No. 6 in the region by The Times.
Kelly Havel and Lauren Casper each had two hits for Agoura (6-11, 1-9).
Simi Valley 1, Royal 0--Brittney Green had a run-scoring double in the first inning for Simi Valley (13-8, 4-5) in a Marmonte League game at Rancho Santa Susana Park. Royal is 12-13, 3-6.
Crescenta Valley 10, Pasadena 0--Meredith Cervenka (16-5) threw her fifth no-hitter of the season and struck out 13, and Ally Webber and Mel McCauley each had two hits and scored two runs for the Falcons in a Pacific League game at Montrose Park in La Crescenta.
Melinda Moulden had two hits and two runs batted in, and Jessica Crownover had a two-run triple for Crescenta Valley (17-5, 7-0).
Glendale 4, Arcadia 3--Carla Hale singled in the tying run and scored the winning run on a groundout in the sixth inning for the Dynamiters (9-13, 4-3) in a Pacific League game at Arcadia.
Hoover 12, Muir 0--Cori Herbert pitched a one-hitter, struck out 15 and drove in two runs for host Hoover (13-7, 4-3) in a Pacific League game. Nicole Platt had two hits and two RBIs.
Hart 4, Saugus 1--Becky Bowen drove in two runs and the host Indians (17-4-1, 7-1) forged a tie for first place with the Centurions (11-9-1, 7-1) in the Foothill League.
Lorian Jenkins had two hits and an RBI and Sara Dean collected two hits and scored two runs for Hart. Amanda Fortune (9-1-1) struck out three in recording the victory.
Burroughs 1, Burbank 0--Amanda Colon tripled and scored on a squeeze bunt by Mallory Lynch for Burroughs (9-9, 3-3) in the fifth inning of a Foothill League game at McCambridge Park in Burbank.
Highland 11, Lancaster 2--Ashlie D’Errico had three hits and four RBIs for host Highland (14-8, 5-2) in a Golden League game.
Nichole Rawson added two doubles and three RBIs for Highland.
Quartz Hill 16, Palmdale 1--Olaya Salazar had a grand slam and a three-run home run for Quartz Hill in a Golden League game at Palmdale called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.
Jodie Cox (20-1) threw a two-hitter and struck out three. She had three hits.
Antelope Valley 14, Littlerock 4--Kelly Bleyl (11-8) struck out nine and had four hits and two RBIs for host Antelope Valley (11-9, 3-4) in a Golden League game.
Sylmar 3, Reseda 2--Casondra Acosta singled to score Krystal Mejia with the winning run in the eighth inning of a Mid-Valley League game at Sylmar.
Acosta finished with three hits and two RBIs for the Spartans (14-5, 9-1), and she pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks to improve to 6-4.
Nelow Rezvani tripled and scored for Reseda (4-11, 3-7) in the seventh to tie the score, 2-2.
Providence 10, Oakwood 1--Jessica Franco homered, tripled, scored three runs and drove in two for the host Pioneers (16-2, 7-0) in a Liberty League game.
