Thursday Night Fever: I’ve been taking a salsa class, so sometimes I go to the Congo Room. The best night is Thursday, when they have a different band every week. Salsa is just the sexiest dance I’ve ever seen. When I first saw it, I thought, “Oh, I must learn that.” And my body just does it--it’s the only dance my body will do. I can’t dance hip-hop at all.
Work Hard, Work Out Harder: Ideally, Friday after work I would go do Pilates at Windsor Fitness in Hollywood. You use your own body weight in your workout, so you can’t strain yourself. At Windsor, it’s small and intimate and you get private training, and Pilates is very calming because you do it at a slow pace.
The Spa Who Loved Her: Saturday I would go to Burke Williams Spa in Pasadena and have George give me the best massage in the world. Then I’d get a few treatments--salt scrub and honey glow. It’s a whole-day thing. I’ve been going there for a couple of years. They put one down the street from my house, but George is worth the drive. It’s a full-service spa--dips, scrubs, rubs, herbal baths, aroma therapy massages--the works. It’s really nice to have an A spa like that in our own backyard. You don’t have to go to Hawaii or Arizona.
Steak Out: Probably that evening, I would go to Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Beverly Hills for dinner, and of course I’d have a steak with asparagus and creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Maybe have a glass of red wine. I also like Cava on 3rd Street and go to Mr. Chow’s for the pepper lobster. Or, Atlantic on Beverly Boulevard has the best fish in this city too.
Sunday on the Beach: I take my dogs to Santa Monica Beach and [in-line skate] and, if I have a friend along, we’ll hang out on the beach. I’ll pack a lunch or some food in my backpack and we’ll eat that. It’s funny; I’ve never wanted to live on the beach. I want to go to the beach to find peace and unwind.
