Families can receive scholarships for classes, youth sports and camps run by the Recreation & Community Services Department. The Rotary Club and some of the department’s instructors have donated money so participants can pay 25% to 50% of the class price, depending on the family’s income. Each person in a family can apply to get a scholarship for one class per quarter. To sign up for classes and a scholarship, visit the department at 10911 Oak St. Information: (562) 430-1073.
