Faith Baptist 66, First Lutheran 8--The Contenders (5-0, 2-0) rushed for 309 yards and eight touchdowns in a Heritage League game at Faith Baptist that was called at halftime because of the 45-point rule.
Lonnie Clyton led Faith Baptist, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Eight-Man Large Schools Division, by rushing six times for 95 yards, including touchdowns of two and 53 yards.

Viewpoint 56, South Bay Lutheran 6--Sherwin Shilati rushed 17 times for 170 yards and scored six touchdowns for Viewpoint (4-0, 3-0) in a Heritage League game at Torrance High.
