Barragan Gets Valley Off to Flying Start

Aaron Barragan scored two touchdowns as Santa Ana Valley defeated Fullerton, 24-12, Friday night at Fullerton High.
Barragan scored on the opening kickoff, returning it 95 yards.
Hugo Ibarra kicked a 32-yard field goal less than a minute into the second quarter.
Fullerton answered when Armando Lopez scored on a three-yard run with 6 minutes 59 seconds left in the half.
Barragan responded, scoring on a two-yard run three minutes before halftime after Fullerton fumbled the ball away on the five-yard line.
The teams traded turnovers in the third quarter and committed five more turnovers in the fourth.
Fullerton finally got on the scoreboard as the game ended. Running back Ryan Murray ran 23 yards as the clock expired and there was no extra point attempt.
Barragan finished the game with six receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Santa Ana Valley’s Israel Zepeda carried 12 times for 75 yards.
