Jordie McTavish scored a career-high 26 points and the Bengals used a 16-point run in the second half to rally from a 12-point deficit at Pocatello.
McTavish’s two free throws tied the score at 68-68 with 2:12 left, then D’Marr Suggs tipped the ball in with 1:20 to go gave the Bengals (1-3) the lead for good.
Suggs added a free throw with 30 seconds left for the final point.
Loyola Marymount (1-4) missed four shots that could have tied the score.
Robert Davis and Greg Lakey each had 15 points to lead Loyola Marymount.
