Glendale Advances to Final

Glendale College will meet Trade Tech tonight at 7 in the final of the Glendale men’s basketball tournament after both teams won second-round games Friday.
The Vaqueros defeated El Camino, 71-66, behind Tim Taylor’s 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots. Eskias McDaniels added 16 points for Glendale.
Trade Tech defeated Moorpark, 82-75, surviving a 26-point night by Raider guard Trevor Lorz, who made seven three-point baskets.
Santa Barbara 56, Canyons 51--Nana Gbewonyo scored 23 points and Dax Grooms had six steals, but Canyons (3-11) lost a Pasadena tournament consolation game.
BOYS’ SOCCER
Chaminade 3, Oak Park 0--Alec deMattos scored two goals and Jackie Lawlor had one in a nonleague game at Chaminade.
Grant 3, Morningside 0--Ricardo Perez, Gabriel Gutierrez and Juan Carlos Mendoza scored for Grant (3-1) in a quarterfinal game of its own tournament.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Camarillo 2, Royal 1--Kim Walker scored in the 65th minute to give Camarillo (3-2-1) a nonleague victory at Royal.
