New From Greyhound: Vacation Packages
Starting Jan. 1--and bookable now--Greyhound will offer city and intercity package vacations in the U.S. and Canada for independent travelers.
Called “Greyhound Vacations” and ranging from overnight to seven-night itineraries, the trips are a departure for the Dallas-based conglomerate, the largest provider of intercity bus travel in North America, officials say. The packages are aimed at “middle-of-the road” consumers, said Gordon Barr, senior vice president of Greyhound Travel Services, a new division that runs the trips. They will use regular coach buses and more “upscale” vehicles, with video, larger windows and other features, he added.
The 27 packages in the 2001 brochure generally include round-trip airport transfers, lodging, city tours and intercity coach transport. Tel. (800) 440-3885.
