Alpha Microsystems Completes Sale of Unit

Alpha Microsystems, a Santa Ana computer consulting company that does business as AlphaServ.com, said Tuesday that it has completed the sale of its managed services division to a company owned by one of its directors.

Alpha Micro said in a press release that the transaction with R.E. Mahmarian Enterprises LLC is valued at $2.8 million to $3.2 million. The deal consists mainly of liabilities that R.E. Mahmarian assumed. Alpha Micro retained about $2.5 million of the division’s accounts receivables.

R.E. Mahmarian is owned by Richard E. Mahmarian.

Alpha Micro said it plans to concentrate on its information technology services and Internet technology units.
