A Montecito woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of reckless driving and evading arrest after police were led on a 90-mph chase from Ventura to her home.
Ventura Police Officer Jerry Edwards was northbound on the Ventura Freeway near Main Street about 1:30 p.m. when a car speeded past him, authorities said. Edwards attempted to pull the car over, but the driver continued to the Sheffield Drive offramp in Montecito.
Police followed the car on surface streets until it stopped at a residence, and the driver surrendered.
Jean Daniels, 48, was booked into Ventura County Jail.
No one was injured in the pursuit.
