Chamber Music Series to Start in Brentwood

“Coffee, Cakes and Chamber Music,” a new series of Sunday afternoon chamber music concerts, will begin March 26 at 3 p.m. with an appearance by the Pacific Piano Trio in works by Dvorak and Mendelssohn.
The new series announced by Music Guild will be held at University Synagogue, 11960 Sunset Blvd. in Brentwood. The second event will feature the Rosetti String Quartet on April 2 at 3 p.m. in Astor Piazzolla’s “Tango Quartet.”
The series closes May 14 at 3 p.m. with the Cypress String Quartet and guest cellist Brent Samuel, playing music by Mozart, Schulhoff and Schubert.
Complimentary coffee and cakes will be served from 2:30 to 3 p.m., at intermission and during a “Meet the Artists” session at the end of each concert.
Series tickets are $20 to $60, single tickets from $8 to $25.
