Electronic Arts Buys DreamWorks Interactive

Electronic Arts Inc. said it bought game developer DreamWorks Interactive to get top sellers such as “Lost World: Jurassic Park” and “Medal of Honor.” Terms weren’t disclosed. DreamWorks Interactive was formed in 1995 by Microsoft Corp. and DreamWorks SKG. The company and Electronic Arts have worked together for two years. The acquisition unites DreamWorks Interactive’s creative team with the production, distribution and marketing abilities of Redwood City, Calif.-based Electronic Arts. Electronic Arts rose $2.69 to close at $91.13 on Nasdaq.
