Moorpark Hopes to Have At Least One Surprise Left

Anything is possible in the boys’ basketball playoffs, as Moorpark High showed Tuesday with an upset of Pasadena.
A victory over the Musketeers’ next opponent, Redondo, would be equally surprising.
Redondo (23-4) features one of the more potent lineups in the Southern Section, including 6-foot-9 center Andrew Zahn and 6-5 junior guard Dijon Thompson.
“They’re always at the top of the division,” said Coach Tim Bednar of Moorpark. “We have to shoot extremely well to be successful.”
Todd Tomlinson is averaging 28 points for Moorpark (19-9) in playoff victories over Anaheim Canyon and No. 4-seeded Pasadena.
