Tony Lawson gave Quartz Hill (15-5-2) a 1-0 lead with his goal in the 39th minute.

Mater Dei 2, Buena 0--Mark Thornberry and Randy Poggio scored for the Monarchs (25-5-1) at Buena.

A coin flip at 9 a.m. today will determine the location of Mater Dei’s game today against Royal.

Buena finished 18-5-4.

DIVISION III

Calabasas 2, Lompoc 2--Itzik Rapaport scored the clincher in the Coyotes’ 4-3 shootout victory after scoring in the 68th and 69th minutes to force overtime in a second-round game at Calabasas (20-1-1).

DIVISION IV

Chaminade 1, Ganesha 0--Bryan Borresson scored in the 20th minute at Chaminade and the Eagles tied a school record for victories and advanced to the quarterfinals for the second time.

Matt Witcher had four saves for his 14th shutout.

The Eagles (18-5-1), in the playoffs for the first time since 1989, travel to No. 1-seeded Bishop Montgomery on Saturday.

Santa Paula 3, Blair 2--Abraham Llamas scored in sudden death for the Cardinals (17-6-2) in a quarterfinal victory at Blair.

Jorge Paniagua scored twice for Santa Paula (17-6-2).

Cerritos Valley Christian 3, La Canada 2--Matt Hess scored four minutes into the first overtime of a quarterfinal victory at Valley Christian.

Nick Marquand scored for La Canada (16-3-2) with 11 minutes left to tie the game at 2-2.
