SAN MARINO — Two teenagers were in jail Wednesday after being arrested on suspicion of attempting to set fire to a portable classroom at San Marino High School.
Larry Yang, 18, of Arcadia and Lawrence Fu, 19, of Monterey Park were arrested shortly after firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Several Molotov cocktails were recovered from the classroom by members of the San Gabriel Valley Arson and Task Force, Long said.
Witnesses told investigators they saw two men in a 1995 green Honda Civic fleeing the scene, said Kelly Long of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
The teenagers are expected to be charged with arson today in Pasadena Municipal Court, Long said.
