Construction begins Jan. 17 on three major Garden Grove streets, part of a $1.8-million, federally funded transportation project expected to last through the second week of August. Work will take place on Magnolia Street, from Garden Grove Boulevard to Lampson Avenue; Brookhurst Street, from Lampson to Chapman avenues; and Chapman Avenue, from Brookhurst Street to West Avenue. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes and work crews will be out weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking will be restricted but access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout.
