Mission Viejo 47, Dana Hills 39--Meghan O’Donague led Mission Viejo (8-8, 1-0) with 16 points. Jessica Hardy scored 15 for host Dana Hills (2-13, 0-1).
In the Empire League:
Century 51, El Dorado 31--In a battle of league favorites, Century (12-4, 1-0), led by Elizabeth Mendoza’s 10 first-quarter points, outscored El Dorado (9-7, 0-1) in the first quarter, 22-10.
El Dorado’s all-league forward, Carly Wade, made her first appearance since her off-season knee surgery, scoring two points.
Kennedy 46, Katella 38--Led by Lauren Shinto, who had 24 points, Kennedy erased a two-point first-half deficit.
In the Olympic League:
Orange Lutheran 57, Brethren Christian 50--Nicole Grady scored 13 points for visiting Orange Lutheran (8-5, 1-0). In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 53, Laguna Hills 32--Natalie Quinn scored 14 points, including four three-pointers, for host Woodbridge.
In the Sunset League:
No. 7 Edison 57, Marina 41--Michelle Zylstra had 18 rebounds, six blocks and six points for host Edison (9-7, 1-0). Katy Monteleone scored 16 for the Chargers, and Miranda Emde scored 16 for Marina (11-5, 0-1).
No. 6 Esperanza 57, Los Alamitos 27--Kristin Peters, back after recovering from strep throat, scored 20 points and Bethany Blair 15 for Esperanza (11-4, 1-0).
Huntington Beach 61, Fountain Valley 55--Amy Sanders scored 28 points and Christine Kimoto added 26 for host Huntington Beach (8-5, 1-0). Laura Williams had 16 points and Jessica Estrada scored 14 for Fountain Valley (7-9, 0-1).
In nonleague games:
No. 10 Rosary 59, Bell Gardens 37--Bridget O’Connell scored 20 points for Rosary (13-4). Jen Farner added 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Aliso Niguel 74, Western 47--Julia Pederson had 37 points, including five three--pointers, 11 rebounds, seven steals and six assists for host Aliso Niguel (10-6).
