The condition of a 33-year-old Palmdale man who was hurt when his sport utility vehicle struck a passing Los Angeles County paramedic truck was upgraded to serious Monday.
Warren White is improving from head injuries he suffered Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle and it flipped over, said an official with Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
White had been driving north on 90th Street East in Palmdale when he swerved onto the right shoulder to let an emergency vehicle pass, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
He apparently lost control, veered back onto the road and struck the rear of the fire paramedic truck. The impact caused the SUV to flip over, ejecting White.
