Studies indicate that 27% of adults in the country cannot read, according to the Orange County Public Library, but it’s never too late to learn.
A literacy tutor training workshop will be held Saturday and May 20 at the Orange County Public Library, 1501 E. St. Andrew Place, Santa Ana, for new volunteers who are able to write, read and speak English. Volunteers must complete 23 hours of tutor training and are expected to tutor people for 50 hours.
