* Today’s Southern California Film Festival lineup at A Captain Blood’s Village Theatre in Orange:
6 p.m. “The Breakfast Club,” (R), John Hughes’ 1985 coming-of-age flick with Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall and Ally Sheedy as a mismatched group of high schoolers getting in touch with each other during a day of detention. Above are Estevez, left, and Hall.
8:30 p.m. “Pirates of Silicon Valley,” a drama by Martyn Burke about Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (Anthony Michael Hall and Noah Wyle), and their legendary struggle to dominate the computer and software industries. Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak will join Hall at a reception before the film.
10 p.m. At an “open mike” session, local filmmakers are invited to screen their works for the public.
