Care Over Profits

I’m completely thrilled to read “Blue Cross Tells Doctors: Stress Care, Not Costs” (July 10). Why, just on Monday a Blue Cross employee loudly abused and insulted me by phone when I inquired about a prescription Blue Cross has denied me--this the latest phone call of multitudes in my ongoing attempt to secure a medication that keeps me up, active and mostly pain-free, instead of crippled, isolated and incapacitated by pain.
No doubt Blue Cross will have this same charming employee call both me and my doctor very soon to announce the approval of my prescription request, now that Blue Cross is emphasizing care over profits.
