Workshops Planned for ESL Volunteers

Free workshops will be offered in Port Hueneme for those willing to teach English as a second language to adults.
The workshops will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 755 Bard Road. The first of the series is scheduled for Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. Volunteers will learn how to teach non-English speakers how to read, write and speak English. No previous teaching experience is necessary. An orientation session will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the church. For more information, call Laubach Literacy of Ventura County at (805) 385-9584.
