UC Irvine Misses Cut in NCAA Golf Finals

The UC Irvine men’s golf team shot its second consecutive 306 Thursday and failed to make the cut for the final two rounds of the NCAA championships at the Duke University Golf Club in Durham, N.C.
The Anteaters were 29th in the 30-team field with a 612 total for 36 holes. UC Irvine’s Eric Wang shot 75 Thursday for a five-over 149 total. He also did not make the cut.
Ricky Barnes of Arizona shot a seven-under 65 to lead the individual race at 11-under 133. Arizona leads the team standings at 569, five shots ahead of Florida, which shot a 10-under 278 Thursday.
