Loyola 31, Banning 7--Bo Renaud rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns in 16 carries for Loyola (4-0) in an intersectional game at Gardena High.

In girls’ tennis:

Villa Park 12, Anaheim Canyon 6--Lindsey Nelson of Villa Park defeated Canyon’s Tracy Lin, 6-3, in a matchup of two of the top players in the nation and propelled the Spartans (8-3, 3-0) past Canyon.

In girls’ volleyball:

Long Beach Poly def. Long Beach Wilson, 15-13, 11-15, 16-14, 10-15, 15-3--Jennifer Randall and Cynthia Buggs each had 23 kills for Poly (12-3, 5-0), which won the cross-town rivalry and took a decisive step toward a seventh consecutive Moore League title.

Freshman Cynthia Barboza had 25 kills for Wilson (13-6, 4-1).
