Lidstrom, Hasek Lift Red Wings to 4-1 Win

Nicklas Lidstrom had three assists and Dominik Hasek stopped 27 shots, and the Red Wings defeated the Edmonton Oilers, 4-1, Wednesday night at Detroit for their sixth consecutive victory.
Luc Robitaille scored for the sixth consecutive game and Sergei Fedorov for the fifth in a row. Tomas Holmstrom and Boyd Devereaux also scored.
The Oilers avoided the shutout when Seas Brown beat Hasek with 5:15 to play.
Washington 4, Florida 3--Peter Bondra scored 45 seconds into overtime at Sunrise, Fla.
Bondra, who had another goal and an assist, fired a wrist shot past Roberto Luongo for his seventh goal in six games.
Carolina 7, Minnesota 3--Ron Francis scored twice for Carolina at St. Paul, Minn., and the Wild lost in regulation for the first time this season.
Jeff O’Neill had two goals for Carolina, giving him a team-high eight.
Pittsburgh 3, Dallas 2--Stephane Richer scored the game-winner in the third period and the Penguins rallied from a two-goal deficit at Pittsburgh.
Johan Hedberg preserved the victory by stopping Mike Modano’s penalty shot with 7:21 to go.
