On their sixth album, the brothers Hartnoll throw fans another curve by experimenting with traditional song structure. Like everything from Orbital, it’s just crazy enough to work. The jangling beats of “Illuminate,” coupled with the guest vocals of David Gray, may even get Orbital a hit. An eclectic collection that also explores fast-paced, dark breakbeats and techno, pong-like blips, “The Altogether” may dabble in pop but is still recognizably Orbital.
