Terrorism Strikes the United States

War has just been declared by the enemies of our country. We must exterminate them immediately. We know who they are and where they are. It is time to unleash our terrible might and destroy the enemies of peace, wherever they are, on this Earth. I am, of course, referring to all the terrorist organizations whose insanity continues to plague us all. I’m sure our secret government organizations know where most of these people are.
We take them out. Now.

I watched the World Trade Center towers fall down Tuesday morning while I got ready for school. I saw the Pentagon on fire and heard that two planes that my dad could have been on were hijacked and crashed. I asked my mom why this was all happening. She was crying.
She said a bunch of stuff that I didn’t really get. I know for sure that she said that it had something to do with religion. Two countries are at war over some land and because they each think their religion is right. Any religion that thinks it’s OK to kill people has a problem. I think it’s time for some new religions.

As I witness the celebrations in Palestine following the manifold attacks on U.S. landmarks by hijackers using civilian aircraft loaded with innocent passengers, I need to know: Tell me again how Islam is really a religion of peace; tell me again that the adherents of Islam abhor violence; tell me again how “unfair” it is of the media to portray the majority of terrorists as Middle Eastern fanatics. Some stereotypes are, in reality, archetypes because they have a basis in fact.

I am amazed at the knee-jerk reaction I have heard from some people who seek to point the finger of blame for the attack on the New York World Trade Center on U.S. foreign policy. President Clinton was not responsible for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and President Bush is not responsible for the heinous acts carried out Tuesday.
There is no ideology that can justify this carnage and destruction. There is one, and only one, culprit. That is the evil that lurks in the hearts of those who planned it, financed it and, most horrifically, executed it. They must be held accountable and denied the opportunity to do it again anywhere in the world.

I hear the cry, “revenge.” What did that cry get the Palestinians and the Israelis? What is the Christian response?

The criminal attack on the U.S. was predictable. Although some didn’t want to see it coming, our enemies declared war on freedom and the West some time ago. Palestinian extremists dance in the streets in celebration of the mass murder of Americans! I pray that the U.S. and Israel will now strike to destroy the sponsors of murder based in the Middle East.
Americans bravely defeated Nazism and communism, and now we must rise up to defeat the last great evil of our times, namely, Islamic fundamentalism. Israel, you are no longer alone.

Washington has antiaircraft missiles and is not invincible. No nation is invincible. Perhaps we should pay our U.N. dues.
