“God Bless America”? Come on, what happened to our traditional “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” for the seventh-inning stretch?
I went to the Dodger opening game for some fun and excitement and was very disappointed to be reminded of 9/11 yet again.

I held an impromptu survey while at Dodger Stadium on opening day, asking approximately 20 people what they’d like during the seventh-inning stretch. The unanimous results were not surprising. While the fans clearly do not want to forget Sept. 11, they dearly miss singing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame.”
As President Bush said on the video shown at the stadium before the game, while we will never forget, it is time to move on.
