Banco Popular Landmark Is Sold

The Banco Popular building, a nearly century-old downtown Los Angeles building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was acquired by Jamison Properties for $6 million.
The seller, Los Angeles-based Hertz Investment Group, purchased the landmark building in December 1997 for $4.5 million. The nine-story structure is located at Spring and 4th streets.
Los Angeles-based Jamison Properties is headed by David Lee, who owns approximately $300 million worth of real estate.
