A Chevron gas station in Thousand Oaks and one in Oxnard were the targets of armed robberies this week, authorities said Thursday.
Johnson Chevron in the 100 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard East was robbed about 10 p.m. Wednesday by a man who pulled up in a white Honda Civic hatchback, got out and pointed a gun at a cashier, authorities said.
A passenger did not get out of the car, authorities said. The pair remained at-large Thursday.
In an unrelated case, Anthony Robles Mosqueda, 31, was arrested about 3 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of holding up a Chevron station in the 1900 block of North Rose Avenue in Oxnard.
Mosqueda, an Oxnard parolee, led officers on a short chase, during which his Ford Escort struck another vehicle, authorities said. The driver of that vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said Mosqueda then tried to flee on foot. Officers recovered a gun and money that authorities said was tossed from the car during the chase.
