Keith Buys Michigan Engineering Company

Keith Cos. in Costa Mesa said Friday it acquired the consulting engineering firm ALNM Group Inc. and its units for an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.
The acquisition of ALNM, based in Ann Arbor, Mich., will significantly increase the percentage of Keith’s work in the public works and infrastructure segment, Keith said.
ALNM provides engineering services in Michigan under the Ayres, Lewis, Norris and May names.
The firm also operates in Ohio. The addition of 116 ALNM employees will bring Keith’s total to about 850. ALNM will continue to operate from its main offices, Keith said.
Keith Cos.’ shares closed Friday at $11.27, up 32 cents, in Nasdaq trading.
