Man Who Broke Into Wrong Home Sentenced

John Michael Hughes was sentenced to three years probation Thursday for breaking into a home that he believed belonged to actress Meg Ryan earlier this year.
Malibu Superior Court Judge Lawrence J. Mira also ordered him to submit to psychiatric care. Mira placed Hughes, a 30-year-old Florida man who once falsely told a judge he was married to the star, into the care of his parents.
Hughes was accused of trespassing in the Malibu home of Tomas and Andrea Ryan, who are not related to the actress. The star has said she has never met Hughes.
