2nd Soldier Dies After Artillery Range Accident

A second soldier died of injuries he suffered when two artillery shells missed their mark and exploded near a mess tent during a training exercise at Ft. Drum, an Army spokesman said.
He was identified as Staff Sgt. Eric Hall, 34, of Phoenix, a linguist in the 110th Military Intelligence Battalion.
William Hamm, 34, was also killed in the incident. There were 13 soldiers wounded, seven of whom remained hospitalized Thursday in stable condition.
The Army post is 75 miles north of Syracuse.
