Mexico’s Central Bank Says GDP Shrank 1.6%

Mexico’s economy probably contracted 1.6% in the first quarter from the year-earlier period as companies continued to be hurt by a recession, a director at the Central Bank said.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the contraction in the first quarter was 0.7%. A final report is due May 15.
