A recently hired aide to Assemblyman Tony Strickland (R-Moorpark) was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Tuesday in Sacramento with Strickland and three others in his vehicle, authorities said.
Rob Flanigan, 25, was arrested shortly before 2 a.m. near 7th and L streets, about two blocks from the Capitol, authorities said.
He spent several hours in custody before being released, the spokesman said, adding that the group, which included former Assemblyman Scott Baugh, had been having drinks at a bar.
