Bonfante Gardens, a $100-million theme park in Gilroy, Calif., that mixes lavish gardens and rides, reopened this weekend. It closed Sept. 17, three months after opening, citing financial problems. Since then it has received $8.5 million in added financing from John Fry, CEO of San Jose-based Fry’s Electronics. It will be open weekends until June 15, then daily for the summer. Admission is $29.95 adults, $19.95 children 3 to 12. (408) 840-7100, www.bonfantegardens.com.... Southwest will begin its first coast-to-coast nonstop flights Sept. 15. The introductory one-way fare is $99 between LAX and Baltimore-Washington International Airport.
