Seminar to Introduce Home-Care Options

The Ventura County Homecare Assn. will offer a seminar Saturday on “Options for Care When a Family Member Becomes Ill.”
The session will include talks on Medicare and health insurance, long-term care insurance, assisted-living facilities and skilled care versus custodial care. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Presentations will run from 9 a.m. to noon and open houses at care facilities from noon to 2 p.m.
The cost in advance is $10 per person or $15 for two people and includes continental breakfast and lunch. The seminar will be at Los Robles Regional Medical Center’s east campus, 150 Via Merida, Westlake Village. For details, call 517-1620 or 777-7234.
