A man who had been released from prison only a few days ago was killed in a gang-related shooting early Wednesday, police said.
Hector Cordero, 27, who had served time for robbery, was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. He was found about 12:10 a.m. in front of his home in the 10800 block of Garza Avenue, an unincorporated area.
His girlfriend, who was inside the house, heard the shot and called police.
