College basketball -- A Sports item in Thursday’s Newswire incorrectly identified Marlon Parmer, formerly of Verbum Dei High, as one of two Kentucky Wesleyan players involved in eligibility violations. Parmer was not involved in the violations that led to the school’s vacating its second-place finish in this year’s Division II NCAA tournament.

A restricted free agent, Havelid made $830,000 last season and filed for arbitration last month. His hearing would have taken place today.
