A Florida woman thought she was getting a certified check for $85 but her bank mistakenly made it out for more than $48.7 million.
Letha Schmitt of Pensacola walked around for three days with the check, unaware of the error, until the bank called Wednesday to tell her of the mistake, the Pensacola News Journal reported Thursday.
