Funeral Set for Girl, 14, Who Died Outside Club

A funeral will be held in town Tuesday for a 14-year-old girl who died of unknown causes outside a teen nightclub in Irvine. Rachel Sarah Parker will be buried in Travelers Rest, S.C., where most of her relatives live, said a family friend, Phillip Johnson.
The public service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Charismatic Episcopal Church in San Clemente.
An autopsy Friday was inconclusive. Toxicology reports revealing whether drugs played a part in the girl’s death won’t be available for about six weeks. Family friends have said they doubt Rachel would have knowingly used drugs. Her mother, author Larstella “Star” Parker, has been too distraught to comment.
